In a twist of fate that I did not predict, the sequel to last year’s The Death of Superman premiered this month rather than at this coming San Diego Comic Con. Suffice to say, it’s like getting Christmas half a year early.

Here we are, at the moment of truth. This has been a long time coming, with hope and dread tugging at me from both angles. Now we’ve come to the point where the Ronin judges the Spartan.
