Classic Snippets of 10-1-15

It’s the first Thursday of the month (coincidentally, it’s actually the 1st on a Thursday), so you know what that means… no. No, I can’t do this. I can’t think up of a clever way to tie it into the Road the Genisys, not this time. This one’s bad, folks. I mean treacherously bad. Lock and load, folks. I don’t think you’ll see me this mad again for a while.

Reel Snippets of 9-28-15

Well, this is awkward. I seem to have found myself on Mars in preparation for next week’s Reel Snippet and found out the hard way that there’s a delay when sending a signal to Earth. Nuts. So yeah, that’s why the Reel Snippets are a day late. Well, better late than never. Enjoy a combination of heavy and light, sweet and salty, idealism and cynicism.

Man, do I love me some Dustin Hoffman. Sure, he was in Little Fockers, but I don’t hold that against him. Actors gotta eat, after all. Regardless, he has enough goodwill left over from great movies like this one to keep him in good graces for a long time. Great movies like this one.

Also, what do you think of the new label? “Reel Snippet Classic” was a bit of a mouth full, so I decided to give Classic Snippets a try.

Reel Snippet Classics of 9-3-15

Welcome to part two of the Road to Genisys, where I look at all of the Terminator movies before eventually reviewing Terminator: Genisys. Today we look at the second and last of James Cameron’s contributions to the franchise in Terminator 2: Judgment Day. Pull up a seat and read on.

We’ve got an interesting dichotomy of movies. One had quite a bit of depth that I could read into and the other was just a fun way to spend an afternoon. Which is which? Read on and find out.

Reel Snippet Classics of 8-27-15

I know a lot of you might be looking at the title of the movie below and saying, “Really? Really?? That movie came out last year. Can that really be called a classic?” Well, my young fisherman, apart from the fact that Reel Snippet Classics are just my blanket term for anything I review that’s not in theaters, any movie that has a DVD life can be a classic of some kind. A classic masterpiece, a cult classic, a classic disaster, you get the idea. Now that that’s settled, let’s take a look at the horrors of cyberbullying.
